Over the summer of 2023, the founder and owner of Plia Parasols, Alex Sudron, noticed photos of colourful beach parasols at the luxury hotels of the Amalfi Coast in Italy, and at the glamorous, pop-up beach clubs of the French Riviera, appearing on her Instagram feed.

Loving the images, she realised what an impact outdoor parasols could have in transforming a space. And so began her search for a pretty parasol to grace her garden. With many hours of research and forming great partnerships across the world with different fabric manufacturers, as well as craftsmen and women to sew their canopies and build their wooden parasol frames, Plia Parasols was born.
